District Accountability Committee (DAC)

This committee has broad responsibilities for ensuring the district's continued educational success and cost-effective management. It is organized in compliance with Colorado state law and school board policy.  Members of this committee advise the Montrose County RE-1J School District Board of Education on budget and spending priorities, student achievement and district programs. The DAC reviews the district improvement plan and prepares an annual report for the Board of Education. Meetings are held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., quarterly, September through April, at the District Office. Each school also has School Accountability Committee (SAC) that meets monthly. Please call your child's school for information on how you can become involved. ​
