BACK TO SCHOOL 2015-2016
The Montrose Elementary After-School Program is pleased to announce its 14th year of quality after school programming.
Students will be offered academic, enrichment and recreation activities at our Pomona Elementary School site (serving students from Cottonwood, Johnson, Northside, Oak Grove and Pomona). The Montrose Elementary School site is located at Pomona Elementary School. A bus will be provided to transport Montrose Elementary students to Pomona Elementary School for after-school activities.
Programs for students will take place Monday – Friday from student dismissal until 5:45 p.m. every day school is in session. Upon arrival, students check in and receive a snack. We follow the MCSD RE-1J calendar and change our classes each quarter. We offer two hours of sessions each day and three hours of sessions on Wednesdays to accommodate the early release. Announcements for specific program offerings will be sent home to students four times a year to correspond with the school quarters. Announcements are also available online: www.mcsd.org go to Departments; Curriculum and Instruction; After School Programs.
Programming begins the first day of school, Thursday, August 20, 2015, and ends the last full day of school. We hire licensed teachers, school district paraprofessionals, and highly qualified instructors from the community in efforts to improve students’ academic success and provide programming in a safe, structured environment that compliments and supports the regular school day. Programming is fee based. Students who qualify for free and reduced lunch also qualify for a discount for program fees.
We look forward to seeing you 2015-2016!
